The mission of the Community Assistance Center is to assist Ellis County families and individuals of low or no income, transients, the homeless, those who are disabled, the elderly and disaster victims with the following:

Furniture
The Center assists an average of 5,500 people a year and distributes approximately 450 Christmas boxes. Food boxes and clothing are available
to clients on a monthly basis.

CRITERIA FOR AID
To qualify for assistance recipients must meet the low-income guidelines established by the State of Kansas and provide the following documentation.
Proof of Ellis County residence: rental contract/payment check stub or utility (water or electricity) payment showing the address.
Statement of income: social security, employment paystub, WIC, Disability
The number and ages of persons residing in the household
School enrollment records for children of school age and immunization records for children under 5.
To apply: come to the Community Assistance Center located at 1108 Oak Street between 8:30am and 1:00pm, Monday through Friday.
